Automated Angklung Robot

Sector:
Entertainment

Challenge

Play the angklung, a traditional Indonesian bamboo instrument, automatically, following arrangements written by real musicians, with every note precisely timed.

Approach

Arrangements are composed in a DAW and exported as MIDI. STM32 firmware translates each MIDI event into precisely timed servo movements through custom actuators and 3D-printed mechanical parts.

Outcome

The robot performed live on national television on Indonesia's Got Talent.

Centralized HVAC Temperature Controller

Sector:
Smart Building

Challenge

Operators of a commercial building needed to monitor and control temperature across multiple HVAC zones from a single point.

Approach

A centralized controller built on ESP32 with a custom PCB and temperature sensors, connected over MQTT to a web dashboard. Control runs automatically based on schedules and live sensor readings.

Outcome

Operators monitor every zone in real time from one dashboard, while temperature control runs automatically.

Edge AI / Computer Vision

Edge AI Visitor Analytics Device

Sector:
Retail

Challenge

A shopping mall wanted real-time visitor analytics in its lobby without relying on a cloud connection.

Approach

An on-device computer vision pipeline on Jetson Nano, using TensorFlow Lite models to detect faces and classify visitor gender in real time.

Outcome

Visitor analytics are produced in real time, entirely on the device, with no cloud connection required.

Portable GPS Tracking Device

Sector:
Logistics

Challenge

Track moving assets precisely with a device small enough to fit discreetly and a battery that lasts.

Approach

A custom low-power PCB combining GPS and GSM, housed in a compact 3D-printed enclosure, transmitting location in real time over the cellular network.

Outcome

A portable tracker with a small form factor, long battery life and real-time location reporting.

AI Customer Service Robot

Sector:
Customer Service

Challenge

Create a customer service character that visitors can simply talk to, rather than interact with through a screen.

Approach

An interactive robot doll combining speech-to-text, a large language model and text-to-speech, integrated with embedded hardware.

Outcome

Visitors speak to the robot directly and receive natural spoken responses in real time.

IoT Vandalism Alarm for ATMs

Sector:
Security

Challenge

ATM machines needed to detect vandalism and physical tampering at the moment it happens.

Approach

A low-power sensor device on a custom PCB that monitors vibration, impact and physical anomalies, with on-device detection and GSM connectivity.

Outcome

Operators receive an instant alarm over the GSM network as soon as an anomaly is detected.

Embedded Systems / Sensor Fusion

AHRS Sensor Fusion Proof of Concept

Sector:
Internal R&D

Challenge

Estimate 3D orientation accurately from a low-cost IMU (MPU-6050/9250).

Approach

An Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) on STM32 using the Madgwick filter to fuse accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer data.

Outcome

A working proof of concept that delivers accurate 3D orientation estimates from low-cost sensors.

Smart Parking Sensor System

Sector:
Smart Parking

Challenge

Show drivers which parking slots are free and give operators real-time occupancy data, at a cost low enough to deploy across many slots.

Approach

An ultrasonic sensor with a red/green LED indicator per slot, connected through ESP32 and MQTT to a real-time dashboard, designed around affordable components.

Outcome

A low-cost, deployment-ready smart parking system with reliable real-time status for every slot.
